Breakfast Cookery & Dairy Products

   -F.S. 207 - Breakfast Cookery

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. In this course, students will learn about the many uses of eggs along with the numerous ways it can be cooked. In addition to examining egg cookery, students will be shown how to make other breakfast foods from scratch such as pancakes, waffles, and french toast.

Dairy products and cheese will be examined closely. Tours of local creameries or cheese shops will allow for tasting of many different styles and will help students understand the nuances of what makes one cheese different from another. We will then learn about beverages such as coffee and tea. A greater understanding of these two beverages will be highlighted by a trip to a local coffee roaster.
