Extra Credit - Omelet Menu (with Cost Analysis)

 

Omelets are among the most versatile breakfast food items thanks to the variety of available ingredients that can be used to make delicious omelets. Plan to make the omelet of your choice. It must have at least 3 toppings/fillings. Prepare this omelet, taking pictures of the finished product. Finally create a cost analysis for the omelet. Cost out every ingredient used to determine the Portion Cost. Once you have determined the Portion Cost, set a price for the omelet which you are charging the customer according to a Food Cost Percentage you choose. (For instance, you can choose a 30% cost- [If portion cost is $3, you will charge $10 (3/.3=10)] )

 

Requirements: Assignment must be received by 3:00pm on Friday, June 12th. E-mail assignment to ChefAK@culinaryarts.edu. Be sure to include photos of the omelet, name of the omelet, and cost analysis. Any assignment received late will not be accepted. Full credit will only be accepted for entire assignment completed.

 

*All extra credit assignments will help improve your overall daily attendance and professionalism grade by 10 points.
